POWERS
This section is for me to know what I can do with what characters regarding the powers that Stephen might use which would affect your character directly- at the bottom is a quick copy-paste of the list, so feel free to use that and reply to this post with as much detail as you like! There’s also a spot to include a preferred contact method so I can easily get ahold of you should we need to hash something out. (If nothing is listed I’ll default to pm-ing your character.
↬ Mind-Reading
This would be played out as picking up on thoughts present in character tags, either specific elements, or simply the general ‘feeling’ of the thoughts. Such as if someone is thinking about how much they’re craving a burger, he’s either going to know what type and where from, or just that they’re hungry at that point.
↬Hypnotism
He tends to leave this one alone for the most part, but general uses might be- making someone forget about something that was causing them great distress, ie a non-magical person who was basically cracking up at the reality of magic, or as he’s done in canon several times, easing his investigations by getting past authorities if necessary, or removing the memory of seeing a magical event should the idea cause the person to react in a violent way towards the caster. (No need for big witch-hunt mobs okay?) As a note I’d always PM you to let us figure out what/how things would happen.
↬ Comment on aura?
For this I’d generally skim any information available on powers/species which would give a general ‘what would he see’ unless you’d rather he see something else- if so let me know here!
↬Comment on astral state?
This is similar to the aura, though it might also wind up with him noticing emotional baggage or physical ailments depending on what mystical creatures are attracted to a character on the astral plane. He tends not to comment on the emotional without cause, as it’s not his business, though if it is causing active physical harm to him he may try to shoo the creature away.
↬Sensing Illusions and Lies/Deceptions
May he sense these things? It is typically through the Eye of Agamotto, though on occasion he has been known to use spellwork. Both methods require him to be looking for these things unless the lie is especially obvious (the sky is green!) or the illusion is fairly shoddy/beginner work. Please leave a note for lies/deceptions even if your character is not magic!
↬ Healing/Medical?
May Stephen use spells or medical knowledge to treat your character if they are not awake and able to agree? Also, if magic is something your character cannot be healed with, please let me know, as well as a basic reason! (mystical protection, magic energies are poisonous to them, etc)
